What is employee retention?

Employee Retention is characterized as an organization's capacity to hold its employees. It can likewise be called as a procedure, where the assets are motivated and urged to remain in an organization for a more drawn out timeframe for the well-being of the organization. An organization can't endure if the top employees quit. Organization requires performers who are trustworthy and work with full devotion to accomplish the company's goal. It is a must for the administration to hold its important employees who think about the organization and contribute their level best. A performer who spends a more duration at a specific organization knows about the principles, rules and arrangements of the organization and in this way can alter better. (Anon., n.d.)


Role of HRM in employee retention in a local company and Suggestions to develop.
  • At whatever point a worker leaves his present organization, it is the duty of the HR to intervene quickly to discover the reasons which provoked the employee to leave. Nobody leaves an association without a reason. There can be endless reasons behind a worker to leave his current job. The significant ones being struggle with the bosses, lesser pay, absence of development, negative vibe, etc. Therefore, HR has the responsibility to keep the employees and develop their local company.

  • Hiring a new employee is difficult task as to place a new candidate to the new position with a new a training. Therefore, it is in the hands of the HR to retain the employees within the organization.
  • The HR person have the right to recruit the right employee to the correct position. Otherwise employee may leave the company due to negative vibes.
  •  The department of HRM must lead motivational activities at the working environment. Various interesting activities more than the daily routine can be organized by the department. Cause them to take an interest in extracurricular activities. Urge them to connect with one another. (Anon., n.d.)

Conclusion
The HR team must try their level best to make the employees motivate and make them feel special in the company so that they do not look for any change.

Try to focus with some unique methods to retain employees in pandemic situation and at this time company focus to offer some benifits package to retain employees until situation get back to normal.
